The latest installment of the Fast Track series is all about second chances. Suzanne Jefferson is determined to make a go of her wedding planning business, even if it means dealing with obnoxious brides-to- be. Prepared to dazzle and wow her first client, Nikki Borden, Suzanne was unprepared for her sexy as sin ex, Ryder Jefferson. Ryder never understood all the reasons why his marriage to Suzanne failed. What he did know is that their relationship was far from over. Tired of meaningless dates and flings, Ryder sets out to win the love of his life back. HOT FINISH is by far my favorite of the Fast Track stories. Suzanne and Ryder’s story is touching and readers understand from the beginning, that they have a special bond. Suzanne’s determination to prove her worth beyond Ryder’s celebrity is something to cheer about; while Ryder’s subtle vulnerability will make your heart melt. I found the chemistry between the two dynamic and explosive; the ease at which interactions transitioned made reading this story enjoyable. The secondary characters from previous stories appear just as seamless; no back stories or re-introductions aided in my appreciation of HOT FINISH. I found myself laughing out loud and tearing up from start to finish. There is a line in the story, where Suzanne commented on the bride-to-be, Nikki’s personality or lack thereof. I laughed so hard, I re-read that line several times before moving on with the story. HOT FINISH is an excellent read and addition to this wonderful series!
