Be prepared for what I feel is the best Cassidy McCabe book to date! The sixth in the series finds Cassidy and Zach’s
marriage back to normal, Starshine is her usual finicky self, and readers will be given more insight into Cassidy as an
intense secret from her past comes to the surface.
When Cassidy opens the morning paper on this particular November morning, she is horrified to see her obituary in the
local paper. Seeing the words "Died on November 4th in an automobile accident" brings an old secret to
light, a secret she has spent years putting behind her. Not only will she have to reveal her secrets to Zach, but she must
also face a person lurking in the shadows who is determined to get revenge on Cassidy for a mistake she made many years ago.
This time Zach is the target, and Cassidy needs to find the killer before it is too late.
DEATH’S DOMAIN is one intense rush! Cassidy and Zach seem to have found their balance just in time to get dealt the
most personal blow yet. Zach’s being the target has Cassidy scared to death, but her gut instinct rules out suspects
constantly, until there are few on the list. She is too close to the case, which prevents her from gaining perspective into
the killer’s mind. The fast pace, smooth dialogue and plenty of twists take the reader on a thrilling ride.
Exceptionally well-developed characters are one of the story’s highlights. Cassidy’s witty, fun-loving grandmother
again makes her appearances. Zach’s son, Bryce, is off in college and starting to distance himself from his new family.
Cassidy’s mom is also a target of multiple vandalisms that may or may not be connected to Cassidy’s dilemma. Together
the characters who have become part of your life are now faced with new challenges that make them all the more real.
I can’t think of a better way to spend an evening than to sit down and get to know Cassidy McCabe and her quirky
family! Be sure not to miss DEATH’S DOMAIN.
