Contemporary Romance
Carlotta Wren and her brother Wesley are
at it again in the latest edition of the Body Movers
Series. This story picks up where the last edition left
off. Carlotta is left with a lot of free time on her
hands now that she is recuperating from her disastrous
fall at the Fox Theater. Now she and her broken arm have
too much time to find more trouble, starting with the
disappearance of her little brother Wesley. When Wesley
returns home, he is looking a little worse for wear, and
non other than Peter is bringing him home. Peter is the
ex-boyfriend who deserted Carlotta in her time of need
and now is trying his best to get back in her good
graces. His bringing Wesley home though is suspicious
due to the fact that Wesley always seemed to detest him.
Meanwhile Detective Jack Terry is still investigating
Carlotta's parents and she is torn by her feelings for
the sexy cop and her love for her family, even though
they left town and haven't made contact in years.
Recently, her father has made an attempt to contact
Carlotta and she wants to find him, but not necessarily
turn him in. Coop, Wesley's boss has a bigger role in
this series rounding out the number of men Carlotta is
juggling to three. When Coop invites Carlotta along for
a pickup in Florida, Carlotta jumps at the chance to
spend some alone time with the hunky guy and also get
away from her worries. Things take a nosedive when they
discover Wesley hiding in the back tagging along for the
trip. Add in the fact that someone keeps trying to steal
their celebrity body, and you have the makings for
typical Carlotta chaos.
Stephanie Bond's Body Movers Series is an absolute hoot!
Carlotta could find trouble anywhere, yet she always
manages to hang on until the Calvary arrives. I guess
the best part of having three men is always having one
to back you up in times of trouble. Great news for Bond
fans as this series is slated to have at least three
more installments.
