Hollywood mega-star Fitz Kelleran's on location in Montana for his latest
film, "Wolfe's Range." Parts of the movie are being filmed on the Granite
Ridge Ranch owned by single mom, Ellie Harrison. Ellie desperately needs
the money to keep the ranch running, and she will do what it takes to keep
the ranch for her daughter's legacy. Shell even put up with the
inconvenience of a Hollywood production company on her working ranch. Fitz
soon realizes that he wants Ellie and the Granite Ridge Ranch and he
makes her an offer but she refuses to sell. She can't understand why
PEOPLE Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive looks twice at her, but there's
definite chemistry between them. Fitz gets under her skin and makes her
dream for the first time in years. She's going to enjoy the moment and
experience the passion that's been lacking in her life. The security of
the Granite Ridge Ranch is all she's ever wanted, and when a Montana
wildfire ravages her home, Ellie swallows her pride and turns to Fitz and
her make-believe cowboy rides to the rescue but then Granite Ridge is no
longer Ellies. Now Fitz has to convince Ellie that she's all he really
wants.
MAKE-BELIEVE COWBOY is a super Super Romance! The "Bright Lights, Big Sky:
When Malibu Meets Montana, its magic" tag-line for the series found on the
back cover does indeed describe this absorbing romance novel. Ms.
McLaughlin gives us two well-developed characters in Fitz and Ellie, two
people who think they're giving up their dreams only to find them in each
other. Ms. McLaughlin writes about Montana and ranch life and brings them
vibrantly alive. The romance between Jenna and Will is poignant and heart
warming, and all the secondary characters are intriguing and add enjoyment
to the overall story. Coming in February 2007 is Wayne and Maggie's story
followed by Burke and Nora's in September. I thoroughly enjoyed
MAKE-BELIEVE COWBOY, and it's highly recommended!
