Jeannie Sterling knows her life isn't
perfect, but she does have her own late-night talk show
on the privately owned WBUZ.radio station. Her show,
"Sterling Behavior," highlights rude public behavior. By
exposing its offenders, Jeannie hopes to make the world
a better place, even if that place is New York City.
One night on the way to work, she has an encounter with
a driver of a Hummer who decides to talk on his cell
phone while navigating the streets of New York. Jeannie
can't help herself; she uses this as fodder for her show
that night. Unfortunately, the driver listens to the
show and doesn't quite like what he hears.
Revenge is sweet. The driver of the Hummer turns out to
be Nicholas Moss, a wealthy investor. He decides he
needs a challenge and he purchases WBUZ. When Jeannie
realizes the association between the new owner and the
Hummer driver, she realizes the man she called "a
turkey" was now her new boss. Jeannie wonders if she
will be to tolerate her new job situation.
This is the first book I've read by Ms. Schnur, but it
won't be the last. This author delivers a novel packed
full of all the essentials: friendship, love, a
dysfunctional family component and job conflict. Don't
miss it!
