Now that the life of her husband is at stake, how can she let go and allow God to have control of their lives?

Clint is determined to not let his illness stop him from finding a serial kidnapper. But are the dreams Clint keeps having really an answer to his prayers for help? As Clint struggles to believe God is still able to perform miracles, he has to learn to let others help him and to keep his faith even in the face of his worst nightmares.

Sara and Clint find themselves facing even more battles as the struggle to believe God is still in control. Can they let go of their fears and truly believe God can be trusted? Will they find a kidnapper before it's too late?

HEALING PROMISES is book two in Ms. Wallace's Defenders of Hope series, following RANSOMED DREAMS. Each book can stand alone, however fans of this series will most likely feel more attached to Clint and his struggles than those just reading HEALING PROMISES. I have to say this book was a very hard read for me. Having dealt with some of the same issues that the characters deal with, and only a few months back, I had to take frequent breaks while reading to get through the story. The characters have realistic reactions to the situations they are in, and will leave you using that box of Kleenex you must have close at hand. Ms. Wallace takes hard issues and handles them in a way that until the very end we aren't sure how things will conclude. There is a strong message of faith within HEALING PROMISES that I feel will touch deep within readers' hearts. I highly recommend HEALING PROMISES and the Defenders of Hope series to all fans of romantic suspense with a strong Christian message, just be warned that HEALING PROMISES is a deeply emotional read and will most likely leave you with tears in your eyes and a desire to be closer to God in your heart.
